Associate Prof. Dr. Nilgün Baydoğan from Istanbul Technical University's Institute of Energy, Nuclear Researches Division, brings a wealth of expertise in Nuclear Engineering, backed by a solid academic background. With a Ph.D. from the Institute for Nuclear Energy and a Master's degree in the same field, she has been actively engaged in research since the early 2000s. Her research interests span a diverse range, including dosimeters, the mechanical, optical, and solar properties of irradiated materials, as well as the electronic properties of irradiated amorphous and crystalline structures. She has contributed significantly to projects such as the investigation of radiation levels on soil samples, evaluation of qua ternary sequences by determining alpha and beta radioactivity levels, and the exploration of different types of silicate glasses under various radiation conditions. Baydoğan has also been involved in projects aimed at the preparation of porous WO3 film and the imaging of solid electrochromic devices. Her dedication to advancing knowledge in nuclear engineering and her active involvement in both academic and research endeavors underscore her invaluable contributions to the field.
