Dr. Farshad Homayouni Moghaddam received his PhD from Isfahan University of Medical Science (Iran) in 2008. He completed his PhD thesis at the Royan Institute in Isfahan (Iran). After that, he moved to Germany to complete his training in stem cell research at the neurophysiology department at the University of Cologne. During his studies he developed a particular interest in stem cell differentiation to neural cells and neuro-regeneration using stem cells. Then he decided to improve his research skills by means of a postdoc position at Royan Institute. At present, he is a faculty member in the stem cell department at the Royan Institute, Isfahan, Iran.
