Wu Jiekang was born in China, in December 1965. He graduated from Zhejiang University. His employment experience included as an Engineer with the Power Supply Bureau, the Electrical Engineering Designing Institute, and large enterprises; and a Professor with Zhejiang University, Guangxi University, and the Guangdong University of Technology. His special fields of interest includes renewable power systems. He received Honorary degrees from the institutions of higher learning, including Zhejiang University, South China University of Technology, and Guangxi University.
