Dr. Md. Afzal Hossain is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the College of Business Administration at IUBAT-International University of Business Agriculture and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Beijing Institute of Technology(BIT), China in 2023. He was awarded the China Government Counsel Scholarship (CSC) in 2018. Before that, Dr. Afzal obtained MBA and BBA degrees from the Department of Accounting & Information Systems, University of Dhaka (DU).
His areas of teaching include Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Cost Accounting, Advanced Financial Accounting, Auditing, and International accounting standards. Dr. Md. Afzal Hossain has published several research articles on the Web of Science and Scopus. He has carried out his research in the fields of accounting, environmental economics, corporate social responsibility, energy, and marketing. Dr. Afzal is an active reviewer for the journal Environmental Science and Pollution Research (ESPR), which is a SCI and Scopus-indexed journal. Dr. Afzal has attended several national and international conferences as a paper presenter, participant, and guest. Previously, Dr. Afzal Worked as an Assistant Professor at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology and Green University of Bangladesh in the Department of Business Administration. He also worked as an Adjunct Faculty of the Independent University, Atish Dipankar University of Science & Technology” and International Islamic University Chittagong.
