Sameera Al Johani is currently working in Microbiology and Virology at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences in Saudi Arabia. As a Microbiologist, I am very passionate about One Health concept. It is a worldwide strategy for expanding interdisciplinary collaborations and communications in all aspects of health care for humans, animals and the environment.Currently, I am focusing on studying the molecular evolution of MERSCoV in the Saudi Arabia. This is very good example of the One Health concept. In the light of SARSCoV evolution, once the real reservoir was identified, sharp decline in the reported human cases was achieved. We are doing our best to identify this potential reservoir for MERS. Despite our results and others about the potential roles of dromedary camels on the evolution of MERS, The exact roles of camels has not explored yet.
