Biography

Mechanical Engineer – EEP (1990),Master in Mechanical Engineering – UNICAMP (1993),Doctor in Mechanical Engineering – UNICAMP (1999),Mechanical Engineer (1990), with a Master's degree (1993) and Doctorate (1999) in the area of ​​Heat Transfer and Fluid Mechanics from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at UNICAMP. He has been a professor at the Mechanical Engineering Course at UTFPR, Curitiba Campus, since 1994, and at the Postgraduate Program in Mechanical and Materials Engineering at UTFPR since 2001. He is currently a Full Professor. He worked as a Senior Consultant in the area of ​​cooling electrical and electronic equipment at the Simultaneous Engineering Research Center – NuPES / UTFPR from 1995 to 2001, in an agreement with the company Siemens Telecomunicações, being responsible for the area of ​​Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). He also served as Functional Coordinator of the mechanics group from 1998 to 2000, managing projects developed in the mechanics area. He was also coordinator of the Mechanical Industrial Engineering course at UTFPR, from 2002 to 2004. He has worked actively over the last 15 years in research and technological development activities, in projects financed by the companies Siemens Tele comunicações and Petrobras and by the funding agencies FINEP, CNPq and ANP. He currently works on well drilling and oil and gas lifting problems, with an emphasis on non-Newtonian fluid flow. He is part of the human resources training program for the oil and gas sector of ANP / PRH-10 and PRH-Petrobras.
