Professor DR. Dr. Hardyanto Soebono, Sp.KK(K), usually called Prof. Har, indeed comes from a village in Klaten Regency. Born on October 28 1951, a date that is easy to remember because it coincides with the commemoration of Youth Pledge Day. He started studying at the UGM Faculty of Medicine in 1970, when he graduated as a doctor in 1976 he was appointed as a teaching staff at his alma mater in the Department of Dermatology & Venereology. Immediately after completing his specialist medical education at Diponegoro University Medical Faculty, he received a scholarship to study in the Netherlands in the field of Immunodermatology in 1982.
He obtained a Doctorate degree at UGM for his research in the field of Immunogenetics of Leprosy in 1996, and one year later in 1997 he was appointed as Professor in the field of Dermatology and Venereology. He has supervised more than 20 doctors from various universities. Apart from being an academic, since being a student, Prof. Har has a hobby of organizing. It is not surprising that after becoming a lecturer, he was elected successively as Head of the DV Department, Dean of FKUGM for two terms, General Chair of the Association of Indonesian Dermatology and Venereology Specialists (PERDOSKI), Chair of the KKI Medical Council, Chair of the UGM Academic Senate until he retired on 1 November 2021.
