Professor Dr. med. Arnold Ganser, born on June 19, 1954, in Bardenberg, Germany, has established an illustrious career in the field of hematology, hemostasis, oncology, and stem cell transplantation. He pursued his medical education from 1972 to 1979 at RWTH Aachen University in Germany and the University of Glasgow in Scotland, culminating in his state examination and obtaining his Dr. med. (MD) on May 22, 1979. Following his state license in Düsseldorf in 1979, he began his professional journey as a registrar at Bundeswehrzentralkrankenhaus Koblenz in the Department of Surgery. Between 1981 and 1982, Dr. Ganser served as a Research Assistant in the Department of Clinical Physiology at the University of Ulm under the mentorship of Prof. Fliedner, and subsequently, in the Department of Internal Medicine III with Prof. Heimpel until 1984. His career advanced significantly during his tenure from 1984 to 1995 as a Research Assistant and Fellow at the Department of Hematology/Oncology at Johann Wolfgag Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main, working with Prof. Hoelzer. Since 1995, Dr. Ganser has held the position of Full Professor of Medicine and Director of the Department of Hematology, Hemostasis, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplantation at Hannover Medical School. His expertise is further recognized through his board certification in “Laboratory Methods in Internal Medicine.”
