After graduating from Physiotherapy in Surakarta Physiotherapy College worked as a physiotherapist at Persahabatan Hospital 1974-1978 and moved to Cipto Mangunkusumo Referral Hospital 1978-1990 and also worked for private practice. In 1990 moved to be a researcher at the National Institute of Health Research and Development of the Ministry of Health while as a director of YIRM Physiotherapy College Jakarta 1984-1996. In 2005 has been appointed as a Head of the Physiotherapy School of BIHS and. Reviewer of abstracts of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) Congress in Singapore in 2015 and Reviewer of abstracts of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy Congress in South Africa 2017, and reviewer of Scientific Committee for research proposal of Netherland physiotherapy and reviewer of National Journals. Almost 35 Research Projects which funded by WHO, ADB, World Bank, International Vacation Institute (IVI), Leprosy Foundation government funding, and other sources, and almost 75 publications either National Journal and International Journal and Seminar as well.
