Biography

I am Dr. Mohamed Gomaa Tawfiq, Assistant Professor and Acting Head of the Department of Anatomy and Embryology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Beni Suef University. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medical Sciences in 2001 from Cairo University, Beni Suef Branch, and a Master’s degree in Veterinary Anatomy and Embryology in 2007 from Beni Suef University, Egypt. The thesis was entitled “Some anatomical studies on the tail in buffalo.” I carried out a joint supervision mission funded by the Cultural Relations and Missions Sector of the Ministry of Higher Education, Arab Republic of Egypt, as a visiting researcher in the period from the first of March 2009 until the end of February 2011 to the Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, Virginia Tech Camp, Blacksburg, Virginia, United States of America, to conduct the practical part of the study. My doctoral thesis was entitled “Preparing audio-visual media for use in teaching veterinary anatomy.” At present, I work as an assistant professor and acting head of the Department of Anatomy and Embryology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Beni Suef University, Beni Suef, and Egypt. I have prepared an electronic atlas on the anatomy of parts of Different types of sheep’s bodies and three-dimensional virtual bones of sheep within the practical part of the doctoral thesis, as well as preparing the electronic atlas of virtual anatomy
• Obtained a scientific assignment from the Central Administration of the Scholarships Sector - Ministry of Higher Education - Arab Republic of Egypt to conduct post-doctoral research for a period of 6 months to the Center for Biotechnology. Animal morphology and genetic therapy at the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Veterinary.
